This is a teacher’s website full of useful downloads and ideas. She is a 3rd grade teacher in Troy School District in Michigan. She has many resources for reading and writing workshop. She is also a recognized Scholastic teacher. She has some great videos modeling how to do their reading framework. She also shows pictures and describes how a teacher should set up a classroom library.
This website has been very useful to me. I am planning on using some of her free downloads in my reading workshop. I am going to use her different genre posters to help my students during our reading workshop. She has wonderful ideas for giving assessments in reading. I really like her teacher conferencing sheet! This website really inspires me to also try new things, like making movies. This is a great website.
You would definitely have to say that one great advantage of the internet is all the resources you can now have access to. It is great that not all of the stuff out there is "trash" being shared, but there is a wealth of useful information. The website you shared is laid out well and seems easy to navigate. Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteHi Elisabeth,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great tool to integrate into the classroom for any teacher. I am eager to visit the website to explore the possibilites. While taking classes over the summer, I learned of a website where students could make their own video. The site allows the students to select their own character, type in diaglog, add audience sounds (clapping, sighing, laughing, etc.). It truly is amazing at the information and possibilities that are "at our fingertips." However, just as our reading for the week suggests, it is critical that we help our students navigate through these sites to obtain information that is applicable for the individual. Thanks for sharing this information.
